Avon sets the bar when it comes to MLM! They have proven to be a trendsetter and have had the ability to redefine themselves over and over again in their 100+ year history. Even though Avon is the company for women, it was started by a man in 1889. When David McConnell started Avon he put a direct marketing system in place and it has been there every since.

The company that is headquartered in New York, NY posts annual sales in excess of 6 Billion dollars. The success of Avon is directly related to the dedication and hard work of its staff and its independent distributors. The success of the distributors comes from the commitment the company makes to them and the products they promote. Avon is one of the finest examples of how MLM should work. The focus is on the quality products they market and the distributors are given the support they need in the form of advertising and marketing materials they need to succeed.

Avon has been able to understand as well as any network marketing company that their success hinges on the ability of their contracted sales people to successfully and profitably market the company's products.
