Don Lapre

King Lapre the almighty ruler of TV infomercial land and guru of 900 numbers. When Don Lapre was in his prime there was no one better at taking below average educational marketing courses and getting people to run over themselves to buy it. Of all the marketing experts I have studied he is by far the worst.

Mr. Lapre still and always has had the ability to get people to act. His infomercials said all the right things and hit all of the right buttons. However, if I was going to rank his marketing courses from a scale of 1-10 they would have to be a 2.

I am usually not this harsh on the people, books, and business opportunities that I review. In this case I just can not find to many positive things about him. As I said in the previous paragraph he has an uncanny ability to get people to act by stimulating their buying gene. Other than that I can not give him much credit and I would not recommend his courses to anyone. Again, do not buy any Don Lapre marketing courses.

It has been widely publicized that in the late 1990's his company hit some hard times and had to file bankruptcy. During the bankruptcy another company bought the rights to sell his products. He still has some decision making authority but his name is being marketed by another company. Additionally, it has been said that they do some rather blitzkrieg like backend marketing attempts to anyone that buys their Don Lapre products. There have been some complaints against them in the blogs and post boards. Another reason to stay away!

I have read several hundred courses by different marketing gurus and I can tell you that I did not get much from his. I can usually take at least one marketing technique from each one and put it to use. In this case that was not an option.
