I know that you have seen the ads - 10,000,000 Guaranteed Hits or email to 45,000,000 for $59.95. That stuff sounds really good but does it work? Not just NO but *#&@ NO! Does that answer your question?

These mass hit generators and email services talk a good game but they don't deliver. It is strictly an internet myth. These companies promise to promote your web site in either emails or ads. Neither one of them will do you any good!

Let's look at the Million plus email scams first. They promote a high, most times ridiculously high, number of emails they will send out for you. They claim that they have huge lists that are double-opt in and completely safe. Wrong, most of these lists are compiled wrongfully over the internet and then the company is going to spam all of these people and put your website advertisement on the email.

What do you think is going to happen? You are going to have a bunch of mad individuals that are going to be smearing your name all over the internet. I know it sounds good but you should only email to lists that you have compiled yourself through an opt-in from your site or from lists of highly reputable businesses that provide opt-in email addresses. I guarantee that you will not get 45,000,000 email addresses from a reputable company for $59.95. It is best to compile your own list if possible. Then you know that you are emailing to people that are interested in what you have to offer!

Now let's look at these guaranteed hits or visitors sites that tell you they can get you 10,000, 50,000, or even 100,000 GUARANTEED visitors. You might get that many hits on your site but it will not turn into MONEY. What these companies do is load your website in a pop-under that will open when someone closes out of one of the company's high traffic site. The thing is that this does not get you targeted visitors and most people these days have some type of pop-up blocker on their computers anyway. Most of the people are just going to close the window on your site and move on.

As you can see neither of these strategies will produce the kind of results that you are looking for. The type of traffic that you want to your web site is of the laser targeted kind. You want visitors coming to your site that have in interest in what you have. They may be just looking for information but if you have great content on your site you can give them something that they can use. They will remember and be back more times then not.

Always remember it is not just about how many people you can get to look at your site. It is about how many targeted visitors you get to your site. The hits need to come from people that are looking for something in the niche that you promote.
