Robert Allen created most of his fame by the no money down real estate business. Buying distressed properties and reselling them. By the way, is not a bad avenue to turn a profit? I have done some of that myself, the only problem is location. If you live in LA or some bigger city this has a lot more potential. However, I live in a small town with some slightly larger towns of 25,000 to 75,000 people around me and have found that even in these smaller populations you can find some really good real estate investment opportunities.

Robert Allen has written some bestsellers on creating wealth and building multiple streams of income (which is smart, the multiple streams of income part). I have found that most of his writings are old and some of his techniques are outdated. I did try an opportunity that he was tied to with the PMG group. It is a professional mentoring group that would help you develop a career in real estate or on the internet. It cost $3500.00 to get started and they would provide you with your own private mentor that would see to your success. The best part was that you would be guaranteed to double your money and they would continue to work with you until you did.

The mentoring sessions were once a week for 30 minutes for a total of ten weeks. My mentor was a nice guy and he told about all of these places on the internet I could go to get information on how to do HTML for example and how to come up with an idea for a website and what products to sell. I decided that I would sell home electronics. Whoa, what a bad idea, I learned real quick there was way to much competition. My mentor helped me along for those ten weeks at that point I did not even have my site up. After our tenth call I never heard from him again. Granted, I never called asking for assistance but there was never any follow up asking how I was doing or anything. I was such a newbie that I was overwhelmed by the whole task of creating a website that I never finished it and moved on to something else. Now, with Robert Allen's programs you get a money back guarantee, but only if you have done everything according to their guidelines and still failed could you get your money back.

Needless to say I never got my money back and did not get my website up. I still lacked the knowledge to finish without expert help. So I moved on and chalked it up to a great learning experience.

Mr. Allen gives some good advice in his books but overall I feel like I was taken advantage of and would not recommend working with him in any of his programs. There would be no harm in reading any of his books just stay away from his business opportunities.
